The Colorado Revised Statute §18-7-201 outlines what actions constitute a sexual act. According to this section of the law, the sexual act itself does not even have to be performed in order for a person to be charged with prostitution.

Solicitation involves asking or directing another to commit an act of prosecution, and is punishable by fines and/or jail time.
