Donna Anderson has worked in a variety of areas of the legal field over her thirty years as a Paralegal, though primarily in family law. As a graduate of Paralegal Studies in Houston, Texas- Donna returned to Colorado to begin her career. Donna married her husband Steve, forty years ago and she explains that “he still makes me laugh every day.” Together they have two grown children who remain the light of their lives. Today, they share their home with Simon, their ninety-pound dog and good boy and he too- also makes them laugh every day.
Donna has a steadfast focus on finding solutions to problems first, so that family relationships are preserved, particularly coparenting relationships, but will leave no stone unturned when a contested hearing is necessary. Additionally, Donna has more than twenty-five years working with a mental health professional who works in the parenting arena. Her extensive career has allowed her the opportunity and experience to learn so much about how divorce and high conflict parenting disputes affect children and enjoys utilizing that perspective when helping to prepare cases for trial.
In her role as Senior Paralegal, Donna serves as the primary Paralegal in all Family & Civil matters. Donna joined our team June 2021 and has thrived! Her eager willingness to collaborate with the Attorneys and team members allows her the freedom to bring her expertise to each case in conjunction with the Attorney’s recommendations and the clients’ desires. Winning cases is truly a team effort. Donna is a true professional who is not afraid to take the extra time to do the job right. Her attention to detail and kind heart makes her adored and appreciated by both clients and her team alike.
In her spare time, Donna enjoys hiking, kayaking, cooking, taking Simon on enriching outings (yes, she realizes how silly that sounds), cooking, and spending time with family.
“I have always loved my work, and I find it really rewarding to help people and their family through what can be a really difficult process. I really do have a sense of helping people be okay on the other side of their divorce or custody dispute. My eagerness to help extends to working with people amid a civil or criminal matter, again I am learning so much about those issues.”
